The Divine Will and Its Triumph “in the midst of Creatures”

On Palm Sunday we began a series of 33 Holy Masses in honor of the Divine Will and Its Triumph “in the midst of Creatures” (Vol 20:10/26/26):

And even when, triumphant, I entered into Jerusalem, in the midst of the triumph of the crowds, surrounded with honor and glory, it was the Triumph of My Will that I established in the midst of the peoples.

Today we begin the 31 days of “The Queen of Heaven in the Kingdom of the Divine Will” (in order to finish on May 12th,) in order to then consecrate the entire Church Militant to the Divine Will on May 13th, as well as Russia to the Immaculate Heart of Mary.

Will you join us and get the word out to as many of our Divine Will prayer group members as possible? May it hurry the Coming of God’s Kingdom “on earth as It is in Heaven” throughout the entire Church Militant, especially in Her Beloved Priests!

We will also be honoring Saint Michael on his Feast Day of May 8th, as “Prince of the Heavenly Legions” and “Our Community’s Guardian Angel” preparing the way for Our Blessed Mother’s Appearance on May 13th! (since he came at both Fatima and Garabandal) Consecrating a beautiful statue in his Honor and asking for his Consecration of our Center and all our homes.

Humility – From the writings of Luisa Piccarreta

Ah, yes, Humility draws grace,

Humility breaks the strongest chains, which are sin.

Humility surmounts any wall of division between the soul and God, and brings her back to Him.

Humility is a little plant, but always green and flowery, not subject to being gnawed by worms; nor will winds, hail or heat be able to do harm to it, or make it wither, even slightly.

Though being the littlest plant, humility produces very high branches, which penetrate even into Heaven, braiding around the Heart of Our Lord; and only the branches which come from this plant have free access into that adorable Heart.

Humility is the anchor of peace during the storms of the sea waves of this life.

Humility is the salt which spices all virtues and preserves the soul from the corruption of sin.

Humility is the little grass which sprouts along the way treaded by wayfarers; while being treaded, it disappears, but soon one can see it sprout again, more beautiful than before.

Humility is like a gentle graft, which renders the wild plant gentle.

Humility is the sunset of guilt.

Humility is the newborn of grace.

Humility is like the moon, which guides us in the darkness of the night of this life.

Humility is like that shrewd merchant who knows well how to trade his riches, and wastes not even one cent of the grace that is given to him.

St. Joseph, Husband of the Blessed Virgin Mary -3/19

The Feast of St. Joseph, Husband of the Blessed Virgin Mary, is celebrated on March 19.

From Scripture we know that St. Joseph’s great virtue was his obedient faith. “He did as the angel of the Lord commanded him and took Mary as his wife.” (Mt. 1:24). He took her in the mystery of her motherhood and acted in obedient faith, as did Mary when she said, “Let it be done to me according to your word.” (Lk. 1:38). “Blessed are they who have not seen, yet have believed.” (Jn. 20:29).

As the Second Vatican Council teaches, “The obedience of faith must be given to God as He reveals Himself. By this obedience of faith man freely commits himself entirely to God, making the full submission of his intellect and will to God who reveals and willingly assenting to the revelation given by Him.” St. Joseph is the model of this obedient faith.

He obeyed the command of the angel and took Mary as his wife in marriage and virginity in a communion of love with God and each other.

As the virgin father of Jesus, St. Joseph showed Him all the natural love and affection of a father’s heart. He placed his life at the service of God in total self-giving for our Savior who grew up in his house. And Jesus grew “in wisdom and in stature and in favor with God and man.” (Lk. 2:52.)

On the eve of his own feast, March 19, 1958, St. Joseph made an appearance to Sister Mildred, the visionary of the Our Lady of America devotion. He proclaimed the unique privilege that was bestowed on him as the virgin father of Jesus. He said that all fatherhood is blest in his fatherhood. He asked that our family life be modeled on that of the Holy Family, with Jesus at the center of all its activity. He wants us to teach our children well.

On March 30, St. Joseph again appeared and declared himself the protector of the Church and the home. He stated that Jesus and Mary desired that his pure heart, so long hidden and unknown, be now honored in a special way. He asked that we honor him on the First Wednesday of every month by attending Mass and receiving Jesus in the Eucharist, with the same love that St. Joseph gave to Him, and by praying the Joyful mysteries of the Rosary in memory of his life with Jesus and Mary. St. Joseph confirmed his enormous role in God’s plan of salvation, shared with his holy Spouse, the Mother of Jesus. (Diary 26-31).

One way of honoring St. Joseph’s request to model our family life on that of the Holy Family is to pray as a family. Our Lady told Sister, “Making the Rosary a family prayer is very pleasing to me. I ask that all families strive to do so.” (Diary 21) She also promised her protection to the family that honors her. Sister said that “. . . Our Lady also requested the image of herself to be honored and venerated in every Christian home.” (Diary26).

Luisa’s Transit into Heaven – 70 years ago

Novena for the 70th Anniversary of the Passing into Eternity of the Little Daughter of the Divine Will Luisa Piccarreta

Divine Providence led the Little Daughter of the Divine Will down paths so mysterious that she knew no joys other than God and His Grace.  One day the Lord said to her:

“Listen, I went round the earth over and over again; I looked at all creatures, one by one, in order to find the littlest of all. Among many I found you – the littlest of all. I liked your littleness and I chose you. I entrusted you to My Angels, so that they might keep you, not to make you grow, but to preserve your littleness. And now I want to begin the great work of the fulfillment of My Will; nor will you feel greater because of this; on the contrary, My Will shall make you even smaller, and you will continue to be the little daughter of your Jesus – the Little Daughter of My Will.”    (3/23/21 – Vol. 12)

Come Divine Will to Reign soon on earth as in Heaven

through the intercession of the Little Daughter of the Divine Will, Luisa Piccarreta!

Novena begins Feb 23, 2017

Ninevah 90 Begins Today 2/15/17

 Dear Prayer Warrior,

Awesome job praying for our nation in the Novena for Our Nation! Thank you!

We are now calling you to a very important prayer and penance campaign that starts on February 13.

We have now entered the 100th year since Our Lady appeared in Fatima, Portugal. The anniversary is May 13, 2017. Many people are wondering if God may do (or allow) something soon to “shake us up” (I wrote about it  HERE – this is the most “shared” article I have ever written).

As we watch terrorism rising up everywhere around the world, relations between nations in steep decline, a false economy ready to collapse, morality at an all-time low, pre-born babies murdered by the millions, marriage redefined for the first time in all of civilization, adult men allowed to share a bathroom with little girls, religious freedom under assault, corruption and collusion rampant within our government, and confusion in our Church … people are asking, especially as we enter this centennial year of Fatima, “WHAT DO WE DO NOW?!?!”

The answer may lie more in “God’s style.” What is “God’s style?” Throughout salvation history, we know that no matter how far we stray from God, He always wants to give us every opportunity to return.

Recall the story of Jonah, and how God sent him to Nineveh to warn them. The Ninevites believed God, and they put on sackcloth and ashes … they repented and did intense prayer and penance.

“When God saw what they did and how they turned from their evil ways, he relented and did not bring on them the destruction he had threatened” (Jonah 3:3-10).

Is it time to do the “Nineveh Thing”? Yes! We lay out everything about this call for prayer and penance in the last 90 days before the 100th Anniversary of Fatima HERE. And, here is the new website:Nineveh90.com.

THE NINEVEH 90 CHALLENGE

Inspired by all of the research that reveals it takes 90 days to replace bad habits (even addictions) with good habits, We are calling upon all of us to enter into a 90 day period of humility and transformation we call “Nineveh 90,” starting February 13 and leading up to the 100th Anniversary of Our Lady of Fatima on May 13, 2017.

This amazing worldwide period of prayer and penance includes:

* 54 Day Rosary Novena (Basic Training in Holiness) – February 13 to April 7

* 33 Day Preparation for Consecration – April 10 (Monday of Holy Week) to May 12

* Marian Consecration – May 13, 2017. 100th Anniversary of Our Lady of Fatima

You can read about the elements of Nineveh 90 HERE.

Please plan to join us by signing up for the daily emails of prayers and reflections at nineveh90.com.

Please invite all of your family and friends!!

Your fellow warrior in Christ,

Fr. Rick Heilman

Feast Day of Our Lady of Lourdes 2/11

Our Lady of Lourdes

The pilgrimage of Lourdes is founded on the apparitions of the Blessed Virgin to a poor, fourteen-year-old girl, Bernadette Soubiroux. The first apparition occurred 11 February, 1858. There were eighteen in all; the last took place 16 July, of the same year. Bernadette often fell into an ecstasy. The mysterious vision she saw in the hollow of the rock Massabielle was that of a young and beautiful lady. “Lovelier than I have ever seen” said the child. But the girl was the only one who saw the vision, although sometimes many stood there with her. Now and then the apparition spoke to the seer who also was the only one who heard the voice. Thus, she one day told her to drink of a mysterious fountain, in the grotto itself, the existence of which was unknown, and of which there was no sign, but which immediately gushed forth. On another occasion the apparition bade Bernadette go and tell the priests she wished a chapel to be built on the spot and processions to be made to the grotto. At first the clergy were incredulous. It was only four years later, in 1862, that the bishop of the diocese declared the faithful “justified in believing the reality of the apparition”. A basilica was built upon the rock of Massabielle by M. Peyramale, the parish priest. In 1873 the great “national” French pilgrimages were inaugurated. Three years later the basilica was consecrated and the statue solemnly crowned. In 1883 the foundation stone of another church was laid, as the first was no longer large enough. It was built at the foot of the basilica and was consecrated in 1901 and called the Church of the Rosary. Pope Leo XIII authorized a special office and a Mass, in commemoration of the apparition, and in 1907 Pius X extended the observance of this feast to the entire Church; it is now observed on 11 February.

Never has a sanctuary attracted such throngs. At the end of the year 1908, when the fiftieth anniversary of the apparition was celebrated, although the record really only began from 1867, 5297 pilgrimages had been registered and these had brought 4,919,000 pilgrims. Individual pilgrims are more numerous by far than those who come in groups. To their number must be added the visitors who do not come as pilgrims, but who are attracted by a religious feeling or sometimes merely by the desire to see this far-famed spot. The Company of the Chemins de Fer du Midi estimates that the Lourdes station receives over one million travellers per annum. Every nation in the world furnishes its contingent. Out of the total of pilgrimages given above, four hundred and sixty-four came from countries other than France. They are sent by the United States, Germany, Belgium, Austria, Hungary, Spain, Portugal, Italy, England, Ireland, Canada, Brazil, Bolivia, etc. The bishops lead the way. At the end of the year of the fiftieth anniversary, 2013 prelates, including 546 archbishops, 10 primates, 19 patriarchs, 69 cardinals, had made the pilgrimage to Lourdes. But more remarkable still than the crowd of pilgrims is the series of wonderful occurrences which take place under the protection of the celebrated sanctuary. Passing over spiritual cures, which more often than not escape human observance, we shall confine ourselves to bodily diseases. The writer of this article has recorded every recovery, whether partial or complete, and in the first half-century of the shrine’s existence he has counted 3962. Notwithstanding very careful statistics which give the names and surnames of the patients who have recovered, the date of the cure, the name of the disease, and generally that of the physician who had charge of the case, there are inevitably doubtful or mistaken cases, attributable, as a rule, to the excited fancy of the afflictedone and which time soon dispels. But it is only right to note: first, that these unavoidable errors regard only secondary cases which have not like the others been the object of special study; it must also be noted that the number of cases is equalled and exceeded by actual cures which are not put on record. The afflicted who have recovered are not obliged to present themselves and half of them do not present themselves, at the Bureau des Constatations Médicales at Lourdes, and it is from this bureau’s official reports that the list of cures is drawn up.

The estimate that about 4000 cures have been obtained at Lourdes within the first fifty years of the pilgrimage is undoubtedly considerably less than the actual number. The Bureau des Constatations stands near the shrine, and there are recorded and checked the certificates of maladies and also the certificates of cure; it is free to all physicians, whatever their nationality or religious belief. Consequently, on an average, from two to three hundred physicians annual visit this marvellous clinic. As to the nature of the diseases which are cured, nervous disorders so frequently mentioned, do not furnish even the fourteenth part of the whole; 278 have been counted, out of a total of 3962. The present writer has published the number of cases of each disease or infirmity, among them tuberculosis, tumours, sores, cancers, deafness, blindness, etc. The “Annales des Sciences Physiques”, a sceptical review whose chief editor is Doctor Ch. Richet, Professor at the Medical Faculty of Paris, said in the course of a long article, apropos of this faithful study: “On reading it, unprejudiced minds cannot but be convinced that the facts stated are authentic.”

Saint Scholastica, Virgin (543 A.D.)

SAINT SCHOLASTICA

Virgin

St. Scholastica was the twin sister of St. Benedict, the Patriarch of Western monasticism. She was born in Umbria, Italy, about 480. Under Benedict’s direction, Scholastica founded a community of nuns near the great Benedictine monastery Monte Cassino. We are told that Scholastica “could be sated or wearied with the words of grace which flowed from St. Benedict’s lips.” Inspired by Benedict’s teaching, his sister devoted her whole life to seeking and serving God. St. Scholastica died in the peace of Christ in the year 547. Tradition holds that at her death her soul ascended to heaven in the form of a dove.

COLLECT

O God, you brought the soul of the blessed virgin Scholastica to heaven in the form of a dove in order to bring to our notice her life of innocence. Through the prayers and merits of Your saint may we live such a life that we too may attain everlasting happiness. Through Our Lord . . .

Lesson
Lesson from the second letter of St Paul the Apostle to the Corinthians
2 Cor. 10:17-18; 11:1-2
Brethren: He who boasts, let him boast in the Lord. For he is not approved who commends himself, but he whom the Lord commends. Would to God that you could bear with a little of my foolishness! Nay, do bear with me! For I am jealous for you with a divine jealousy. For I betrothed you to one spouse, that I might present you a chaste virgin to Christ.

Gradual
Ps 44:11-12
Hear, O daughter, and see; turn your ear; for the King shall desire your beauty.
Ps 44:13; 44:10.
V.  All the rich among the people seek Your favor; the daughters of kings come to meet You.
Ps 44:15-16.
V.  Behind her the virgins of her train are brought to the King; they are borne in to You.
V.  They are brought with gladness and joy; they enter the palace of the King.

GOSPEL
Continuation  of the Holy Gospel according to Matthew
R. Glory be to Thee, O Lord.
Matt 25:1-3
At that time, Jesus spoke this parable to His disciples: Then will the kingdom of heaven be like ten virgins who took their lamps and went forth to meet the bridegroom and the bride. Five of them were foolish and five wise. But the five foolish, when they took their lamps, took no oil with them, while the wise did take oil in their vessels with the lamps. Then as the bridegroom was long in coming, they all became drowsy and slept. And at midnight a cry arose, ‘Behold, the bridegroom is coming, go forth to meet him!’ Then all those virgins arose and trimmed their lamps. And the foolish said to the wise, ‘Give us some of your oil, for our lamps are going out.’ The wise answered, saying, ‘Lest there may not be enough for us and for you, go rather to those who sell it, and buy some for yourselves.’ Now while they were gone to buy it, the bridegroom came; and those who were ready went in with him to the marriage feast, and the door was shut. Finally there came also the other virgins, who said, ‘Sir, sir, open the door for us!’ But he answered and said, ‘Amen I say to you, I do not know you.’ Watch therefore, for you know neither the day nor the hour.

SECRET

May this sacrifice of Thy dedicated people be accepted by Thee, O Lord, in honor of Thy Saints: to whose merits we attribute the help afforded us in tribulation. Through our Lord . . .

POST COMMUNION

Thou hast filled Thy household, O Lord, with holy gifts: do Thou cherish us always, through the intercession of her whose festival we are keeping. Through our Lord . . .
